We had two dolls, Kirsten and Bitty. I was really going to focus my collecting on Molly, the only historical that I wanted a complete collection for. I still don't have her, but do have lots of her things!

I was only going to get the birthday, xmas and school outfits and their pets for the other dolls. NOT!

I was done with Bitty, she had plenty of outfits! We have since added the twins, the tricycle, the highchair, almost all the Bitty Bunch animals, their playhouse and their tea party set. And tonight or tomorrow I'll be adding Kitty and Puppy too to complete that collection as well.

I wasn't going to get Kailey. We already had Kirsten and one blonde was enough. Diana will be getting Kailey for her bday party on Sunday.

Getting Kailey inspired me to find Lindsey, especially after I heard they would be introducing Marisol, another LE. Now have all 3!

Was not interested at all in AGT's! Except for the LE's, I still don't have an AGT, (I'm currently eyeballing the Asian AGT) but have literally more (out at least) for AGT's than for the historicals! I thought you only needed one sport outfit, or one halloween outfit, or one dressy outfit, etc. Oh, but they don't tell you how addicting all of this can be and that these dolls dress 10X better than I do! And they have the cutest things to play with too.

And they have a good little doctor (Diana) to take care of all their ills, and even if one breaks their leg now, they can get along with help from their little crutches (ebay) or cruise around in their new pastel-toned wheelchair (today's code purchase!)

A year ago, I was dreaming of the opportunity to go to an AGP! Now I've gone to Chicago twice and NYC once, and even the NYC trip was just a ploy so I could go to AGP! Sure honey, you go right on ahead and think it was just to celebrate your 50th birthday, that's right!

No one told me that there would be new "friend" dolls, as if the original 8 AG's weren't enough!

Books, oh boy, I have tons of books! And I cannot forget all the wonderful Hallmark items too!

No, no, neither AG or this board came with any of those warnings when I first logged on about a year ago! Shame on all of you!

You have turned me into a collecting, hoarding, stashing, doll-loving fiend!

Thanks for your great posts dianasmama and Candie D! Its great to have such good company on this Board!

My daughters also enjoy our Bittys. We have the stroller and doll seat for our Bittys. I really wanted to get the pretty basket for $70 but DD#2 is so rough and tumble I'm afraid that we may have to wait on that purcahse until our gentler DD#3 gets a little older. We also have the suticase and the Bitty storage units. The best thing I like about the Bittys is being able to dress the girls in matching clothes. Girls with their matching attire Bittys are just too cute for words.

We LOVE the Bitty Bunch. To me, this is one collection that is a real sleeper but absolutely darling. I coded all of the Bitty Bunch and their bus and gave it to the girls for Easter. It was the ultimate hit in our house and received far more attention than another doll would have!

I have the house and the tea set hidden away for later in the year. I highly recommend the house because as was stated, it holds everything really nicely and is a great looking storage piece.

I think the bus is precious. I can't see having the house without the bus. DD#2 can run into all the furniture she wants with it since its so soft! And the animals look adorable in it.

Don't want to start a code frenzy but I think the Bitty Bunch Collection has a much greater play value than some of the other lines of AG like HSH because it is suitable for a wide range of ages and for both boys and girls. The color scheme is all Bitty, too. The Bitty Bunch collection totally enhances a Bitty collection, in my opinion.

Five years ago we started with Nicki (Bitty) the Lullaby Basket and Changing table. Tori was 2 1/2. At 7 1/2 she still plays with everything. The basket is very sturdy and looks like new. The changing table could probably use a good cleaning but is great. (She sometimes takes it outside in her fort.) It's great for storage too. Nicki has really been apart if our lives. When Tori traveled with Molly over Spring Break one friend of my MIL asked where Nicki was. She was well traveled . If anyone is considering a Bitty for the little girl in their life (or your own inner girl ) you better get coding! We are down to hours .

"Sometimes I think I am insane when I look at my collection"

Oh please, Mary....I've just spent the better part of the last two weeks tearing down old wallpaper, fixing walls, repainting and applying a new doll border to an unused room in our house. It's going to be our doll room. And I still want to make the doll rooms like Meg has done and inspired others to do as well. But at least it will be a place to put everything for playing purposes. Right now we have items all over the house and that worries me about something getting lost. We'll still have dolls around the rest of the house, but hopefully this will cut down on some of it.

Unfortunately for us though, this room is the smallest one in the house!

A year ago I had 2 AG's that I mainly used for modeling the clothes I make. I didn't keep any outfits I made either. Then I got acquainted with Cherry and introduced to this board.

I stopped counting the dolls at 17. I can honestly say "I don't know how many dolls I have". LOL I'm keeping many of the outfits I make. I have doll scenes set up in all rooms in the house except the bathroom and kitchen. The dinning room is completely taken over by the dolls and scenes. Fortunately I have you all to identify with and realize this is perfectly natural behavior. LOL

My DH thinks we (my daughters and I), especially me, are obsessed. Yesterday he noticed Bitty's new beach set all set up in her room. He just shook his head.

One day he was talking with a guy he works with about a job they were working on. They were disagreeing about how a certain aspect should be done. This guy has two young daughters 3 and 5, He said, he said to him "Look we better do it this way, and if you don't agree with me I'm going to send a complimentary copy of the AG catalog to your house for your wife" He really didn't say that he was just putting me on, but that's how he feels about it. I said "Well at least its something that they actually play with."

So many other things my DD's receive as gifts from family and friends just end up on the bottom of the toy box.

Yes, I was also very naive.

I thought we would only have 3 dolls total - Sam, Kirsten and Felicity. I didn't want to get into collecting a whole bunch of other stuff because I thought that collecting for these 3 historicals would be expensive enough. I also felt that it would take up a lot of space.

    Well, I was very wrong!!!

Now, we also have Nellie, Marisol, Kailey, Bitty and Maisie along with the entire Bitty Bunch. Not to mention all the outfits and furniture, etc.

Since we are limited on space, I was thinking of getting the changing table or crib and then getting these little decorative storage bins under the crib or in that space under the changing table. Saw them at Walmart and they come in Dora, Pooh...stuff like that, they are soft and fold out to make little storage square. Yea our little bitty bear is a real hit, I figured it would be as my dd loved animals and also loves the mini Addy and Kirsten, etc. Don't know why, but she jsut loves these minis...they as much play as the regular dolls, which shocked me a little.

I can totally relate! Luckily there is ebay, where I can unload stuff for a pretty good price and justify our new addiction!

I really thought we would only collect historicals, but DD (almost 7) really gets a lot of play value with the today accessories and outfits. Add that to the renewed interest in Bitty and you could say we (or I) am outright obsessed!!

Who would have know there are so many of us out there? Of course if it weren't for all the reviews and albums on the board, my wish list might not be as long.....
